It's easy (+ trendy) to dumb down Easter
to merely egg hunts, straw bonnets + those (unswallowable) marshmallow Peeps. (IMPORTANT: Who keeps buying those?)
Don’t get me wrong:
Eggs are great: hard-boiled, plastic, and Reese’s alike. But when you pit them against the greatest event in all of human history, the pinnacle of how this world tells time, and the electric story of Jesus’ resurrection? Food dye doesn't hold a candle to it.
Join me in this 8-day study through Passion Week as if we were walking alongside Jesus Himself: Following Him into the Temple as He taught, celebrating at the party where Mary poured perfume over His head and feet, sitting at the table next to His disciples during the Passover meal, and standing in the courtroom as the Roman governor pounded his gavel.
So lace up your best walking shoes! Because girlfriend? We've got places to go, and Jesus has much to show us along the way.
Psst, mamas…
We know kids are squirrelly + their attention span is, well… little to none.😂 Yet Christ's heart for them is CLEAR: “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” (Matt. 19:14)
With a past career in kids' ministry, I taught hundreds of kids the Word of God every weekend—in a way that was fun + engaging + made His stories stick. (You know, with the only alternative being MASS CHAOS… the stakes were very high😅.)
So now I’m here to help YOU teach Bible stories in a way your kids understand. Everyday, this devotional 1) gives a complete script with actions/interactive cues to make it fun (no props or theatre major needed)—as well as 2) a daily egg coloring page activity with a piece of the story + corresponding verse on the inside. Throughout the week, make into a garland, wreath, etc.
This week, let’s bring the kids to Jesus!
Back at it + just want the updated coloring pages?
I mean, I get it... I know there are interruptions.
I know not everyone listens 100% of the time.
I know it doesn't always feel like these truths get through. (And it's possible you could do without the toilet humor?)
BUT we have a promise in Isaiah 55:10-11. "It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."
YOU SEEIN’ WHAT I'M SEEIN’?
It does not MATTER if we see fruit today or the harvest tomorrow. What matters is that we are obedient to plant the seeds. Now? It's up to God to do what only He can do (which is soften hearts + produce fruit). So KEEP ON, MAMA—you're doing the good work (even when it doesn't feel like it). CHEERS TO ROUND ❷!

“I can be disciplined in my own quiet time, but have felt overwhelmed how to implement this with my kids. EXACTLY what I needed!”
